Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Senior Consultant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled individual to join our team in Perth, Australia.

  • Act as Senior Consultant, with primary responsibility for strategic planning and operational improvement across various functions including finance, internal audit, accounting, taxation, IT, HR, legal, and group company governance.
  • Analyse and revise current processes to enhance efficiency and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive organisational change for greater effectiveness.
  • Support operational improvement through project management.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with finance, accounting, legal, HR, and IT matters.
  • Facilitate communication with Nomura Research Institute (NRI) and other group companies on strategy, including potential M&A activities and synergy creation.
Key ResponsibilitiesManagement Consulting
  • Plan, manage and lead cross-company integration projects within NRI group as a senior consultant. This includes developing strategic project plans aligned with overall business objectives, stakeholder communication and negotiation, current state analysis and future state planning, issue and task management, providing quantitative analysis to support decision-making, and implementing optimisation plans for corporate functions.
Finance
  • Support financial advisory functions in large acquisition projects.
  • Assist with all aspects of finance, treasury, accounting, and tax.
Governance and Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Support the President and Chief Administrative Officer in activating governing bodies such as the board and its sub-committees.
  • Contribute to governance and M&A activities in the Australia region for NRI.
  • Support execution of M&A activities and post-merger integration.
Internal Audit
  • Participate in internal audits of group companies.
  • Enhance internal audit functions.
Human Resources
  • Assist the Head of Administration Division with HR-related tasks and processes.
General Affairs / Secretary
  • Improve office working environments and execute administrative and secretarial tasks.
Legal
  • Support legal administration and contract management.
Information Technology
  • Support company information technology administration.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor degree
Languages: Japanese and English (business level or above)
Experience: Management consulting and operational improvement experience
Skillset: Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills, project planning and implementation skill, project management skills, ability to deliver results, ability to maintain business focus, ability to work well and flexibly with people, personal awareness, strong attention to detail, speed and accuracy, global governance policy understanding, cultural awareness, strong proactive and timely communications, Microsoft Office skills
