We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team as a Mine Planning Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clear direction to the execution teams through mine designs and schedules for the 0 to 12 week time frame for the truck & shovel fleets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete mine designs using CAD software packages;
  • Develop mine schedules to accurately forecast waste and coal movements;
  • Liaise with execution teams to track progress of mine plans;
  • Identify and implement Production Planning improvement initiatives;
  • Utilise tools in mine planning to ensure safe operations;
  • Build cross-functional relationship with the Operational sub-functions and interact extensively with the Planning sub-functions.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer who has a strong background in mine planning and scheduling. You will have a tertiary education background in Civil Engineering (or another engineering discipline) with previous experience working on job sites.

You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and communicate at all levels. A strong working knowledge of CAD software, scheduling packages and Microsoft Office are desirable.
