About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join our team at VenuesWest. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Principal and other senior leaders in driving educational excellence and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to teachers and staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in education.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to teachers and staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the needs of students with complex support needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective partnerships and collaborations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leadership roles in education, with a strong track record of driving educational excellence and student outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support teachers and staff.
  • Experience working with students with complex support needs, with a strong understanding of positive behaviour support and trauma-informed practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in education.
