Job Overview

The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data across various reporting requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys analyzing complex financial information and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparing corporate tax returns and supporting FBT, BAS, and PAYG compliance by analyzing and interpreting financial data from various sources.
  • Assisting with statutory accounts under IFRS and coordinating with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing tax and statutory filings for the entity by developing and implementing efficient processes.
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts and tax reporting packages for head office by utilizing advanced Excel skills.
  • Supporting documentation and compliance processes by reviewing and validating financial data.
  • Partnering with finance and operational teams on various projects and initiatives by providing expert financial guidance and support.
  • Responding to queries, audits, and reviews by communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a CA/CPA qualification or working towards it, have solid experience in corporate tax and/or statutory accounting, strong knowledge of audit and statutory reporting requirements, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and a proactive and collaborative approach.
