Job Overview
This is a critical care nursing position that requires experience and expertise in caring for critically ill patients. As a Critical Care Veterinary Nurse, you will work closely with our veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and support.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing services to patients requiring advanced life support, including mechanical ventilation and monitoring
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, such as digital x-ray and ultrasound
- Participate in rotational shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and public holidays
- Maintain accurate records and reports on patient care and outcomes
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus penalties for evening and overnight shifts. In addition, we provide ongoing career development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Cert IV Qualifications as a Veterinary Nurse (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of experience in general practice or emergency nursing
- A keen interest in critical care nursing
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude
