Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data and preparing reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.

About the Role:
  • Analyze financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations;
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders;
  • Develop and implement financial planning strategies to achieve business objectives;
  • Mentor and train junior accountants in financial analysis and reporting techniques;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and advise clients accordingly;
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepares clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
  2. Applies knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
  3. Assists graduates with work and acts as a mentor/buddy;
  4. Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
  5. Prepares documents for client meetings with Partner;
  6. Helps identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;
  7. Prepares and analyzes management accounting reports;
  8. Preparation of income tax returns;
  9. Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax; and
  10. Provide general business advisory advice and support to a wide range of client groups
