The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis with flexible working options. This key position will play a vital role in shaping our payroll functions during a significant implementation project and beyond, making a meaningful impact on our business.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Management:
- Oversee outsourced payroll until the transition is complete.
- Manage multiple payrolls encompassing a large workforce across various locations and states.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure payroll operations align with organizational policies, auditing procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Manage tax obligations and superannuation payments with full compliance.
- Handle end-of-month payroll reporting and ad-hoc reporting as required.
Employee Support:
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and managers, ensuring clear and timely resolutions.
- Manage employee novated leasing arrangements, including setup, calculations, and liaison with leasing companies.
- Oversee time and attendance requirements for our workforce.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a multi-site or heavy industry organization highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain high attention to detail, and possess good organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
