About the RoleThe Facilities Services Manager in Retirement will play a critical role in planning and coordinating facility maintenance services across all Uniting AgeWell Retirement Communities and Home Care Office locations. This includes strategic maintenance, minor project works, and after-hours call-outs.
- Coordinate facility maintenance functions to ensure high-quality services and care.
- Supervise repair and maintenance functions, including minor project works and after-hours call-outs.
- Design and manage unit refurbishments, working closely with the RV portfolio and contractors.
- Manage facilities services budgets for Victorian and Tasmanian regions.
- Regularly review performance and make adjustments to maintain budget limits.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve outcomes and deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as mechanical or electrical engineering, or building facility operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Experience in delivery asset management services within retirement living sectors or customer-centric operations-based roles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- A practical knowledge of maintenance principles and the ability to apply them safely and effectively.
- Highly developed negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with proven capacity to function effectively in a complex environment.
To work in aged care, you will need:
- A current Working With Children's Check (VIC) or willingness to obtain one.
- Full Australian working rights.
- A current Police Records Check/NDIS Clearance or be willing to undertake this process.
- Current flu and ongoing vaccinations as required.
