About this role:
We are seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering meals in line with our planned menu and the requirements of our Food Safety Program.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support the wellbeing and individual needs of our residents by creating a positive and nourishing environment every day.
You will work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain daily and periodic cleaning schedules for food preparation and food service areas.
Your responsibilities will include serving residents meals in dining hall services and trolley service to rooms, washing dishes, making sandwiches, and providing cups of tea or coffee to residents and their visitors.
We are looking for someone who can promote quality activities and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with residents, their relatives, and friends.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in food service, preferably in a health, hotel, or aged care setting. You should be able to work at a fast pace as part of a team and provide an excellent standard of service.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A current Working With Children Check card
- A current and ongoing flu vaccination
- Australian working rights
- The ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
