We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Officer to join our team at Shoalhaven City Council. As a key member of our Youth Services team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering programs that promote the wellbeing and resilience of young people in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate a range of youth programs, services, and events that address the needs of young people in our municipality.
- Community Engagement: Engage and work with young people, their families, and support networks to identify and address their needs.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Contribute to the development of policy and procedures that ensure the needs of young people are reflected in our services.
- Partnership Building: Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations to improve outcomes for young people.
- Program Promotion: Develop strategies to promote our youth programs and services to young people and their families.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Development, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in the development, facilitation, and evaluation of youth programs and services.
- Skills: Proven ability to engage young people and motivate and encourage active youth participation.
- Other: Current unrestricted driver's license and ability to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
