About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Generative AI team at CommBank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale solutions, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving the adoption of modern best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and robust AI-enabled software solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of Generative AI solutions
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications and systems
  • Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to influence and educate on Gen AI solution principles and practices
  • Drive the Gen AI transformation across the bank, working with the Group Practice Gen AI Solutions lead
Requirements
  • Exceptional software engineering skills with a deep mastery of software engineering principles and practices
  • Extensive hands-on experience in building AI-enabled software and applications from the ground up
  • Adept at managing engineering teams that build and scale distributed systems, tools, and frameworks in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment
  • Customer-obsessed mindset to drive the Gen AI transformation work
  • Skilled in developing tools required to support the operational management of software applications and systems
