Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale software solutions, influencing and engaging senior stakeholders on modern best practices, and driving the adoption of reliability, testing practices, and responsible AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale software solutions
  • Influence and engage senior stakeholders on modern best practices
  • Drive the adoption of reliability, testing practices, and responsible AI
  • Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to influence and educate them on Gen AI solution principles and practices
  • Be an ambassador in driving the Gen AI transformation across the bank
Requirements
  • Ability to contribute to technical strategy and participate in medium to complex scale engineering initiatives
  • Customer-obsessed mindset to drive the Gen AI transformation work
  • Motivated to contribute to the development of strategic programs of work
  • Skilled in developing software applications and systems
  • Able to take responsibility for nominated technical assets related to areas of experience
