Environmental Scientist / Engineer Role Summary

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments and remediation projects, working closely with senior principals to plan and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct site assessments, investigations, and reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  2. Support the preparation of proposals and scopes of work, aligning with client needs and project objectives.
  3. Undertake fieldwork, including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment, for contaminated land assessments.
  4. Manage subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient site work, while maintaining strong WHS practices and promoting a safety-first culture.
  5. Contribute to the preparation of technical reports under the guidance of senior staff, applying relevant Queensland and Australian guidelines in the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology, along with 3-5 years of experience in contaminated land and remediation. You should also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
