Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Master of Professional Psychology program as a lecturer. This is a full-time appointment on a tenurable basis, requiring the successful applicant to contribute to teaching and oversee placements for this course.
About the Role
- Developing future placement opportunities that meet the needs of our students and industry partners
- Ensuring students on placement achieve their competencies and develop the skills required for success in the field of psychology
- Liaising with current placement agencies to establish and maintain strong relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the teaching and administration of the Master of Professional Psychology program, including developing and delivering curriculum content and assessments
- Oversee placements for the course, including developing future opportunities, ensuring students meet their competencies, and providing support and guidance as needed
Person Specification
- Masters or Doctoral degree qualification in Psychology
- General registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Approval as a supervisor for higher degree psychology trainees by the Psychology Board of Australia, or the capacity to achieve supervisor status
