Our organization's scope of work is diverse and extensive, serving a population of over 380,000 residents in Sydney. We deliver 28 key services, including childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities, and aquatic centers.

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Capital works projects team, you will be responsible for delivering design documentation and cost estimates.

  • Conduct site investigations and prepare preliminary designs and reports in line with investigation requirements
  • Develop detailed documentation for tender and construction purposes
  • Prepare cost estimates related to design documentation
  • Built relationships across the organization and with internal and external stakeholders
  • Panels and meetings require your participation

You must have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia, a Class C Driver's Licence (Provisional P2 minimum), WHS construction induction certification, and at least 3 years of experience as a professional engineer in the field of design.

Proficiency in areas such as survey, analysis, design, and documentation of civil infrastructure is required. Experience in applying current Australian Standards and demonstrated competency in civil engineering software programs are also essential.

A strong written and verbal communication skillset is required.
