About The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join Health Infrastructure as our Principal, Design. You will play a critical role in shaping how we embed best-practice design across the capital works program. You'll lead the implementation of our Design Assurance program and provide expert advice to project teams, manage the relationship with NSW Government Architect and industry design partners. The role ensures that all HI Projects are delivered in accordance with the Design Guide for Health and align with HI's Corporate Strategy objectives. This role is a unique opportunity to influence design quality and performance, drive continuous improvement, and guide strategic relationships.

This is a full-time ongoing position. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About You

You are a registered architect and a design leader with extensive expertise in the planning, design and delivery of complex infrastructure, ideally with a strong background in health services facilities. You combine technical knowledge of design standards and certification requirements with practical experience influencing design outcomes across planning, design, and delivery stages.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, guiding teams through complex problems, and shaping processes that drive improved outcomes.
