We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Tarte Bakery & Cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes according to established recipes and standards.

• Ensure consistent portion control and food presentation to meet our high-quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment by adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.

• Assist in food preparation and mise en place for daily service, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout your shift, contributing to a productive and efficient kitchen environment.

• Monitor stock levels and communicate any supply needs to the kitchen team, ensuring seamless inventory management.

• Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as cleaning, washing dishes, and organizing kitchen equipment as needed, promoting a well-maintained kitchen space.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods, providing exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in culinary arts or a related field.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, high-quality cafe or restaurant setting.

• Proven experience as a Chef in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle a high-volume environment, maintaining composure and efficiency.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

• Creative flair and a passion for high-quality food presentation, with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a positive and productive kitchen culture.

• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional early mornings or evenings, as required.

Remuneration:

• $70,000 - $75,000 annually, plus superannuation, providing a competitive compensation package.
