As a pastoral care volunteer, you'll play a vital role in supporting the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly clients living in their homes.
This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a significant difference in improving the quality of life for those in need.
You'll work closely with a local Christian church and under the guidance of our experienced Pastoral Care Coordinator.
Responsibilities- Visit clients at home for one hour each week, providing companionship and emotional support.
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities that promote spiritual growth and well-being.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high level of interpersonal skills, including empathy and active listening.
- Pastoral Care training or experience, such as Chaplaincy or Clinical Pastoral Education.
As a pastoral care volunteer, you'll experience personal fulfillment and growth while making a tangible impact on the lives of others. Regular visits can help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation, promoting overall well-being.
