Job Opportunity: Community Home Visits Pastoral Care Volunteer
Job DescriptionThis is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of elderly residents living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer, you will be actively involved with a local Christian church and support the spiritual and emotional needs of our clients.
You will work under the direction of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator to supplement and complement their work. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting people to meet their spiritual needs
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess high level interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills. You may also consider attending pastoral care training, such as Chaplaincy or Clinical Pastoral Education, or participating in HammondCare's pastoral care training - Spiritual Care Series.

RequirementsTo apply for this role, you must be at least 18 years old and have a national volunteer police check arranged and paid for by us. You will also need to commit to volunteering for at least one hour per week for six months or longer.
