Looking for a challenging role that involves operating equipment and maintaining a safe work environment?

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Plant Operator to join our team in Melbourne.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the dispatch and loading of trucks, record keeping, on-site quality assurance, loader and bobcat operations, and participating in safety initiatives. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs and utilizing the docket dispatch system
  • Front-end Loader & Bobcat operation
  • Control Room operations
  • Day-to-day administration of the Plant including stock control of raw materials
  • Work closely with the laboratory team
  • General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in batching and/or asphalt industry is preferred but not essential
  • Front End Loader expertise is favourable, however, training can be offered
  • A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus
  • FEL ticket (desirable)
  • Other tickets that would benefit are; Forklift, EWP, Confined Space
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritise competing deadlines
