Senior Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Therapist to join our Emergency Mental Health Team at The Royal Children's Hospital.
You will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Emergency Department staff to manage mental health presentations, providing support to families and carers, liaising with emergency services, and contributing to research and evaluation activities.
Key Responsibilities- Purposefully engage children, adolescents, and their families in recovery-focused care through assessment and intervention.
- Provide leadership by modelling high standards of professional and interpersonal skills, attitudes, and behaviours.
- Build and maintain relationships with Emergency Department staff, Consultant Psychiatrists, community agencies, and maximise service coordination and cooperation.
- Complete accurate, timely, and professional clinical record keeping and documentation.
- Current Registration as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Registered Nurse with the applicable Health Practitioner Board or a qualified Social Worker.
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health care within a trauma-informed framework.
- Expertise in triage, assessment, and mental health care.
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders to maximise service coordination.
