We are seeking two Resource Recovery Engagement Officers to join our team at Campbelltown City Council. As a key member of our Resource Recovery and Waste Services team, you will play a crucial role in improving resource recovery rates across the LGA.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect kerbside recycling and garden organics bins to identify contamination and data collection and analysis in relation to contamination of kerbside bins.
- Engage with the community to improve resource recovery rates and promote sustainable waste management practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce contamination and increase recycling rates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of waste management services.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers and resolving problems and conflict.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Computer literacy, report writing skills and strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an effective team.
- Understanding of bin types, waste and recycling streams, kerbside collection service arrangements, and processing and disposal systems.
- Current NSW Class C drivers licence (or motorbike licence).
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption upon commencement.
- Temporary full-time employment (up to 12 months), 38 hours per week.
- Salary from $1,200.00 per week + 9.5% superannuation.
