Security Leadership Role

This critical position oversees the alignment of research programs with Australia's national security and defence legislation. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a team in ensuring compliance across the University.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. They should have a strong working knowledge of Australia's national security and defence legislative frameworks and demonstrated experience working in or with the defence sector.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing risk management and compliance processes, leading stakeholder consultations, and serving as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's or postgraduate degree and at least five years' experience in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Physical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related areas.

  • Develop and implement robust risk management and compliance systems
  • Lead stakeholder consultations to design best practice policies
  • Serve as main point of contact for regulatory agencies
