About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality services to patients and clients of the WNSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Provide child and family health services to patients and clients, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions;">
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and clients;">
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and clients, families and carers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and engagement;">
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to child and family health services;">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

">
  • A degree in Social Work or a related field;">
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in child and family health;">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, families and carers, and other stakeholders;">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and accountability;">
  • Knowledge of child and family health principles and practices, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions;">
  • Ability to use technology, including electronic health records and other software applications, to provide high-quality services;">
  • High level of cultural competence, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations;">
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the district, as required.">
