The role involves identifying and cultivating new prospects, developing strategic relationships, and preparing compelling grant applications and reports. You'll be part of a team working collaboratively across the organisation to align funding opportunities with our strategic priorities.

  • Manage strategic relationships with trusts and foundations to drive philanthropic growth.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our partnerships efforts and secure significant gifts from high net-worth individuals or trusts and foundations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts, foundations, and high net-worth individuals.
  • Develop and implement donor/funder engagement plans to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Prepare and submit compelling grant applications and reports that meet the needs of our funding partners.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
  • Identify and cultivate new prospects, and develop strategies to secure major gifts.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years managing trusts and foundations or administering grants from trusts and foundations.
  • Exceptional grant and proposal writing skills.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven success securing significant gifts from high net-worth individuals or trusts and foundations.
  • Strong donor-centric approach and experience in developing and implementing donor/funder engagement plans.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional structure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of exceeding income targets.
  • Deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector and international development.
