We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to join our team at EDT Global Pty Ltd. As a Taxation Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients and ensuring that all tax compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Review of Tax Advice: Prepare and review tax advice, reports, and other client documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Implementation of Tax Strategies: Implement tax structuring strategies and provide guidance on tax planning to clients.
  • Corporate Tax Compliance: Review and prepare corporate tax returns, including income tax returns, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage tax risks, and apply global and local quality control processes and risk procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Client Engagement: Ensure client engagements are completed to a high standard within a specified timeframe, and supervise/mentor more junior employees.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development activities to promote the firm, its services, and your personal brand.
  • Service Line Strategy: Contribute to the development of service line strategy and provide input on tax-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Management Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of management experience, preferably from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm, law firm, or a relevant corporate background.
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or Law with a focus on Taxation.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, along with a desire to further enhance these abilities.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborative, innovative, and inclusive approach to working, with a willingness to embrace change and challenge established norms.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a genuine passion for tax.
