Job Title:

Water Management Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Water Management Technician to join our site-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations involved in sourcing and delivering water across the site.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful applicant will have a trade qualification in mechanical fitting and experience in operating and maintaining bore fields and pit dewatering systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain bore fields and pit dewatering systems, including diesel and electric equipment and associated pipelines.
  • Manage water transfer systems for potable and low-quality water, including treatment plant operations.
  • Handle daily maintenance and operations of the wastewater treatment plant.
  • Support the maintenance team in executing key tasks as needed.
  • Execute poly welding and electro-fusion operations as part of pipeline and equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct daily refueling and inspection of pipelines and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
  • Qualification in Poly Welding and Electro-Fusion.
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining bore, dewatering, submersible, and related equipment in mining NPI or a heavy industry environment within mining or water operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in bore removal and replacement.
  • Minimum Dogman's Ticket.
  • Hold a WA HR Driver's Licence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using CMMS (e.g. SAP) for daily work management and procurement.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
