About the Role

Two full-time positions are currently available. We seek enthusiastic and qualified academics to contribute to the teaching of undergraduate core law courses.

We expect candidates to have a strong track record in academic teaching, research, and service.

  • Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university rules.
  • Research: Establish a reputable research program, collaborate on research projects, seek funding, publish in respected journals, utilize best-practice methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
  • Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative tasks, support colleagues, and uphold University values.

The role involves:

  1. Supervising Higher Degree Research students
  2. Participating in activities that support the strategic direction of the School, Faculty, and University
  3. Contributing to law reform, policy development, and legal practice
  4. Engaging in original research with the potential to influence academic debate and advance knowledge nationally and internationally
