Construction Team Lead - Telecommunications

We are seeking an experienced Construction Team Lead to join our project team, based in Cambridge. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate and lead a multi-disciplined trade-based personnel team, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of construction activities.

About the Role

This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in telecommunications, proven supervisory skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors while working alongside a great team of people in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

  • Develop and implement site plans – including risk assessments, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure construction activities run smoothly.
  • Lead and support teams on-site – working closely with subcontractors and colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively – providing clear guidance, escalating issues when needed, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Evaluate quality and resources – overseeing best practices, checking work standards, and ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed.
About You

A relevant trade qualification with experience in a supervisory role is essential. Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, civil construction principles, and cabling requirements is advantageous. A willingness to travel across the state is also highly regarded.
