Youth Justice System Administrator

This is a dynamic position based in the Office of the Commissioner, supporting with information requests across the Youth Justice system. The successful candidate will utilise their strategic thinking and policy skills to support high-level, confidential communications across Youth Justice.
The Department works towards a safe, just, innovative, and thriving community through services and programs promoting justice, safety, and community well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Actioning requests for Youth Justice information, including Freedom of Information Act 1982, subpoenas, information sharing schemes, and Justice and Assurance Review Office.
- Supporting the management of file requests, including requesting, reviewing, registering, tracking, and reporting on progress of files.
- Monitoring the Youth Justice Directorate inbox and the Community Incidents inbox, and supporting the Senior Officer with responding, triaging, and prioritising work.
- Experience in public sector administration and knowledge of government processes.
- Knowledge of Youth Justice operations and current policy direction (desired).
- A tertiary qualification in public administration or a similar discipline (desired).
- A current Employee Working with Children Check card (required).
- Job stability as a member of the Victorian Public Service.
