Culinary Operations Manager

At our aged care residence in Perth, we seek a dedicated and passionate Culinary Operations Manager to oversee daily culinary activities. This role involves delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents while ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities
  • Dual responsibilities in food preparation/presentation and site management will be a key part of this position
  • Managing overall costs, with a focus on food and labour is essential
  • Stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking must be managed effectively
  • Leading, developing, and managing a team will be crucial
  • Assisting with bulk cooking operations will be required
  • Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods will also be necessary
Requirements
  • A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is mandatory
  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is also required
  • Experience managing labour, food, and operational costs is highly valued
  • Previous experience in kitchen operations and/or site management is essential
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical
