Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal - Learning and Teaching to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing our academic programs, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in all aspects of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of our academic programs, ensuring that they are aligned with our school's vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes, including the use of evidence-based practices and instructional coaching.
  • Provide leadership and support to teachers, including professional development opportunities and coaching.
  • Work closely with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and student well-being.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of the evidence base around cognitive science and its connection to the process of learning.
  • Significant experience and knowledge in pedagogical approaches that align with evidence-based practices.
  • Experience in strategic management of a learning ecosystem, including human resource management and professional development.
  • Experience in designing, leading, and implementing highly effective professional development, with a focus on instructional coaching.
