Welder Position Available

Thornton Engineering is seeking a skilled welder to join their team of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various welding processes, including GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and SMAW (Stick).

The successful applicant will be responsible for interpreting weld procedure specifications, operating and maintaining measuring tools and equipment, and adhering to the company's high-quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication trade - Welder or equivalent qualification
  • Adequate welding skills to pass a welder qualification test
  • Considerable experience in GMAW (MIG) welding
  • Experience with other welding processes GTAW (TIG), Flux-core and/or SMAW (Stick) is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret WPS (welding procedure specification)
  • Skilled in operating equipment used in fabrication
