Project Engineer Overhead Wiring Specialist

At UGL, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in the Rail Traction Power division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering and delivery expertise in the design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and construction of Rail Traction Power projects.
{"h3": "Key Responsibilities"}- Assist the Project Manager in the development of reports and associated tools to identify and correct problem areas.
- Ensure adherence to all Rail Safety standards, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in work practices, methods, and activities.
- Manage the administration and control of Contract Instructions, ensuring that any change of scope, direction to proceed, site instruction, etc., is given to the Contractor(s) in writing and correctly documented.
- Manage the receipt of design information and drawings, including maintaining a current drawing register and ensuring documentation is issued to all relevant parties.
- Oversee the handover process at project completion, ensuring all key stakeholders are involved and project documentation is completed in accordance with procedures.
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in project-related disciplines in the Rail Traction Power environment.
- Knowledge of Rail Safety National Law is a requirement for Rail Safety Workers.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil/Mech./Elec.) at degree level.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment.
