Viatris is seeking an experienced Operations Planning Manager to join our team at our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Carole Park. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing planning and scheduling processes to ensure timely and accurate schedules and plans within Operations.
This role requires a strong collaboration mindset, natural problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of Planners, Coordinators, and Administration support. You will work closely with Operations and Supply Chain Managers to formulate, develop, and implement planning strategies that meet business requirements for assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and execute planning and scheduling processes and tools to effectively execute capacity planning across all of Operations.
- Lead a team of Planners, Coordinators, and Administration support, mentoring them in best practice planning and scheduling techniques and processes.
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain Managers to ensure Operations plans and schedules achieve on-time manufacture of product.
- Oversee the preparation of Manufacturing, Packaging, and Maintenance plans and schedules to ensure these link together for efficient execution.
- Maintain a rolling three-month Operational plan, including supporting ad-hoc events and schedule adjustments.
- Prepare factual, clear, and well-structured reports and analyze situations to provide recommendations for improvements.
- Manage improvement projects to meet agreed objectives and outcomes.
- Ensure collaborative cross-functional relationships are established and maintained.
- Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators, and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives.
- Previous experience in leading a planning/scheduling function.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Post-graduate in Finance or Leadership desirable.
- SAP experience.
