Position Overview

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a qualified and experienced Operations Supervisor to cultivate and guide a dedicated, professional operations team.

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that the on-site team operates efficiently to provide a safe and welcoming environment for patrons, adhering to operational protocols, contractual obligations, quality assurance systems, and industry standards. Additionally, the supervisor will address patron feedback proactively to mitigate any negative perceptions regarding facility operations over time.

Collaborating closely with the Aquatic Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will enhance the physical presentation of the facility through effective contractor management and will comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) processes and management systems mandated by Belgravia, as well as relevant legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Ensure all emergency response equipment is maintained in optimal condition
  • Assist the Aquatic Operations Manager in the investigation of incidents and accidents
  • Monitor performance in OHS, Risk, and Environmental areas, initiating improvements as necessary
  • Conduct hazard and environmental inspections, risk assessments, and implement risk controls and corrective measures, ensuring thorough documentation
  • Oversee budget management and prepare necessary reports
  • Maintain Net Promoter Score (NPS) and mystery shop evaluations in alignment with KPIs established by Belgravia Leisure

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for aquatic operations and a commitment to providing a safe environment for both staff and patrons. You will be adept at creating and maintaining all pertinent documentation related to safety and hazard reduction.

Exceptional communication skills are essential for building rapport and fostering positive relationships with colleagues, alongside a dedication to operational excellence. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to effectively engage and build constructive relationships with all operational personnel and contractors.

To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of two years' experience in an Aquatic Operations setting and a proven track record of team leadership. You will embody values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect, leadership, and accountability.
