Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled individual to fill a Health and Security position in the Mental Health Unit at Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. They will work closely with clinical staff to provide care and comfort to patients, and effectively communicate with all levels of staff and patients/clients.
This is a casual position that requires a current Class 1A Security Licence, Senior First Aid Certificate, and valid driver's licence. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills to manage aggressive incidents, flexibility in taking directions from supervisors, and ability to work in a morgue environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Assist clinical staff in the care and comfort of patients.
- Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients/clients.
- Current Class 1A Security Licence.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Valid driver's licence.
