About The Role

The Community Coordinator will oversee the delivery of person-centred leisure and lifestyle programs within our homes.

You will lead a team responsible for promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation through engaging recreational activities that foster holistic wellbeing.

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team of recreational activity officers with excellent leadership skills
  2. Provide high-quality care and support residents to maintain their independence, skill levels, and mobility
  3. Collaborate with other team members to plan and organise recreational activity programs
  4. Evaluate individual resident needs, values, spiritual, and cultural preferences when providing care
  5. Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle is desirable; degree-level qualifications highly regarded
  6. Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
  7. Previous experience in caring for the elderly within an aged or community care setting
  8. Highly developed organisational and time management skills
  9. Ability to solve problems independently
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  11. Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes
