Cloud DevOps Engineer Job Description

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in deploying, supporting, developing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure. You should possess a deep understanding of public cloud principles, practical application of these principles, cloud services, and security, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure supporting our applications and services.
  • Build automation leveraging continuous integration/continuous deployment processes, automated testing, unit testing, code coverage, and other software development best practices.
  • Optimize platform performance through analyzing server performance and diagnostic logs.
  • Implement cloud security measures and controls in line with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Regularly assess and remediate vulnerabilities and threats using automation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish technical direction and drive innovative solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data flow, infrastructure architecture, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in platform engineering focusing on cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) models.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required; available 24x7 for critical incidents or events.
