The Opportunity

We are seeking a Finance Systems & Data Specialist to join our team. Reporting into the Systems Accounting & Master Data Manager, you will support the creation and maintenance of SAP finance master data. The role will also be heavily involved in performing key SAP transactions during the month-end close process and throughout the month.

The Finance Systems and Data Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and consistency, with the support of the Data Governance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and creation of SAP Finance Master Data
  • Proactively support internal and business partners
  • Work with team members to improve processes and provide customized SAP solutions
  • Design, test, and lead the implementation of new processes
  • Ensure the best utilization of the SAP system to allow greater focus on value-added activities
  • Provide introductory SAP training for new team members
Requirements
  • In-depth experience in maintaining SAP finance master data
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and application in SAP FICO
  • Knowledge of data analysis and business requirements analysis to develop a clear understanding of business needs and incorporate these needs into solutions
  • Understanding of data integrity principles
  • Understanding of sound system and integration testing approaches
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to break down complex technical information to stakeholders
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • System training experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Systems, or a related field would be advantageous
