As a member of our Power Team, you will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support various engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • Learn basic principles of Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct.
Requirements
  1. Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil or Mechanical Engineering program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.
  2. Demonstrated interest in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to our work and projects.
  3. Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.
  4. Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
  5. Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
  6. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
  2. Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete, steel, soils, foundations, and surveying.
  3. Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for the successful completion of tasks.
  4. Prior internship and/or related designing, drafting, or engineering experience is a plus.
  5. Students who have passed or are scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam will be strongly considered for this position.
