The Role

The Process Analyst will be responsible for mapping critical processes and procedures across Auto & General. This role will support the identification and documentation of business processes by working with stakeholders across the business to input, review, and sign off on processes. The ideal candidate will have proven skills, an understanding of process mapping techniques and technologies, and knowledge of the insurance industry, which is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with senior team members and managers to coach stakeholders to consistently develop process flows, supporting a collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Process mapping: support the development of a consistent and efficient way of mapping processes, storing processes, and updating processes across A&G, identifying and flagging interdependencies between functions and divisions.
  • Process optimisation: support the identification of inefficiencies or bottlenecks that may exist between functions and propose remedial paths forward, flagging with the manager. Drive process improvements that align with overall business objectives.
  • Obligations and Controls: work with Risk and Compliance colleagues to identify obligations associated with process steps and document corresponding controls.
  • Stakeholder Management: interact frequently with managers, SMEs, across the business, to obtain input, provide status updates, and provide feedback to the manager to drive conversations regarding process improvements.
  • Project Management: contribute to the development of timelines of processing mapping milestones, including prioritization and resourcing, and manage against a project plan.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in process mapping, process improvement, or business analysis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of BIC, although strong experience with Visio or Lucid Charts would be considered.
  • Team-focused attitude, ability to learn new systems quickly, experience of working to deadlines in a change-driven environment, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus.
  • Knowledge of operational risk management, linkages between obligations, and mapping controls. Experience of working within a 3 LoD model and understanding the interdependencies from a business process perspective.
  • Preferred: a Bachelor's degree in a business, commerce, or technology-related field.
  • Preferred: an understanding of the General Insurance industry.
