We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial accounting and compliance services for clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of income tax and FBT returns
  • Preparation and review of BAS and IAS
  • Supporting and mentoring the bookkeeping team, including Xero setup and training
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Accounts payable and receivable processing
  • Manual journal entries
  • Reconciliations and review
  • Payroll calculations, review, and administration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A positive and entrepreneurial attitude with a strong focus on professionalism and customer service
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or related fields
  • Current professional accounting registration (CPA/CA)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Australian public practice tax and accounting
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
