Health Information Management Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced health information management professional to lead our clinical coding and medical records services.
This operational management position plays a key role in promoting our digital strategy, ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of health information services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medical records, clinical data, and health information access services across both paper and digital environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Privacy Principles in the management of medical records
- Managing ROI and Medico Legal matters
- Effective staff rostering and information reporting
- Investigating, analysing, and interpreting industry trends and developments
Requirements:
- Knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, ACS, and AR-DRGs
- Working knowledge of patient data collections, storage, management, and analysis, including legislative requirements, national standards, quality standards, and policy
- Ability to perform effective data analysis and reporting of health information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Cerner Patient Systems, and SAP Billing
- Advanced critical analysis, time management, and prioritisation skills
