GIS Professional

We are seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team in Brisbane.

As a key member of our Geomatics team, you will provide professional spatial services, including design support, data maintenance, spatial analysis, and cartographic outputs.

You will contribute to successful project delivery by providing quality spatial analysis, mapping, and cartographic deliverables that meet customer needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality spatial analysis, mapping, and cartographic outputs to support operational and project requirements.
  • Maintain suitable GIS data by updating data sets in a timely manner and ensuring quality control meets standards.
  • Assist colleagues by identifying improvements and contributing to Geomatics improvement projects.
  • Provide expert GIS advice to personnel and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Establish positive relationships with stakeholders and model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment for diverse perspectives.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ESRI suite of GIS software at the latest version minus 2.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Portal.
  • Highly proficient in creating quality maps and design plans.
  • Experience in using FME and Model Builder.
  • Experience working with as constructed data and CAD data.
  • Solid understanding of web services and map services.
  • High level of professionalism in dealing with other staff members and strong customer service ethos.
  • Proficient in developing process maps and writing standards and procedures.
