Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Coordinator

RMIT University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our College of Vocational Education, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and wellbeing strategies, conducting risk assessments, and providing training and support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health, safety, and wellbeing strategies to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks
- Provide training and support to staff and students on health, safety, and wellbeing issues
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Monitor and report on health, safety, and wellbeing metrics and trends
- Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related field
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
