Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Specialist

At Randstad, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular and ad-hoc safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our organization is fully compliant with all relevant health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry regulations.
  • Safety Policy Implementation: Assist in the development, implementation, and review of our organization's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventative actions.
  • Training and Induction: Develop and deliver regular safety training and inductions for new staff, contractors, and clients.
  • Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports on safety performance, incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, government bodies, and other stakeholders to promote and maintain high safety standards.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a HSE Advisor role, ideally within rail or large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
  • Key Competencies: Leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.
