Offshore Engineering Expertise

Job Description:

The role of the Senior Software Engineer involves working in a collaborative environment to develop and maintain software products for offshore engineering. This encompasses the creation and refinement of numerical algorithms, mathematical calculations, and supporting team members to implement design modules for Bentley's MOSES product.

This position requires expertise in developing numerical algorithms for engineering and general mathematical calculations. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, and documenting these algorithms, as well as troubleshooting engineering design modules to support the technical support group.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and program numerical algorithms for engineering and mathematical calculations, and document them for future reference.
  • Develop advanced hydrodynamic analysis software used in cross-products and serve as a mentor to junior developers.
Requirements:

Candidates must possess an advanced degree in Naval Architecture, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a relevant field, with experience in developing software using Intel FORTRAN and Object-oriented programming.

Advanced programming skills in FORTRAN, along with an excellent understanding of Hydrodynamics, are essential for this position. Additionally, candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Excellent sense of logic and engineering workflow.
  • Advanced degree in Naval Architecture, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or relevant experience.
  • Advanced programming skills in FORTRAN.
  • Advanced understanding of Hydrodynamics.
  • Experience in developing software using Intel FORTRAN and Object-oriented programming.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Success in this role depends on the ability to work effectively in a team, communicate complex ideas clearly, and continuously improve software development processes.
