Behavior Support Practitioner


This role is an opportunity to provide direct support to clients, develop behavior support plans, and work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting progress and outcomes, and regular communication and coordination with clients and multidisciplinary teams.


The ideal candidate will have experience working independently as a contractor, and possess existing referrals or a plan to build a caseload. They will also have the ability to work in a flexible scheduling environment, and be able to communicate effectively with clients and teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop behavior support plans that meet the individual needs of clients
  • Provide direct support to clients, including assistance with daily living tasks and behavioral interventions
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to achieve goals and outcomes
  • Document progress and outcomes, and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and teams, and respond to their needs in a timely manner

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in behaviour analysis, psychology, social work, family therapy, or a related field
  • Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient, or Advanced/Specialist)
  • NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children Check (WWCC), completion of NDIS Worker Modules, and PRODA registration
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
  • Own ABN, driver's license, reliable vehicle, laptop, phone, and other essential tools for the role
