Transforming BC communities through safe travel practices is a pivotal role that requires dedication and passion. As a Child Passenger Safety Program Educator/Instructor, you will be instrumental in educating families, caregivers, and community professionals on the significance of child safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive education and instruction on child passenger safety to parents, caregivers, and community professionals
  • Coordinate and facilitate information sessions, hands-on workshops, and training courses
  • Mentor and support educators across the province, fostering a network of experts
  • Ensure program materials are up-to-date and aligned with current best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategies and initiatives
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions related to the program
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • BCAA Child Passenger Safety Educator II Certificate or willingness to complete
  • At least 5 years of experience in community education
  • Proven expertise in adult education
  • Experience working with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A valid BC driver's license and ability to travel throughout the province
Benefits:

This part-time contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of $27-31/hr and the potential for contract extension. Working hours are 25 hrs/month.
